This is a full spoiler recap of A Court of Silver Flames, book 5 in the ACOTAR series. It covers Nesta's intervention, Cassian and Nesta's romance, the House of Wind, Gwyn and Emerie, Valkyrie training, the Dread Trove, Briallyn, the Blood Rite, Feyre's pregnancy crisis, and Nesta's final sacrifice.

The Inner Circle intervenes in Nesta's spiral
Nesta is drinking, spending money, sleeping around, and refusing help. Feyre and Rhysand finally force a choice: Nesta must train with Cassian and work in the library, or leave Velaris.
Nesta is moved into the House of Wind, where she cannot easily escape because of the stairs. What begins as a punishment slowly becomes the structure that lets her survive herself.
Cassian trains Nesta
Cassian is ordered to train Nesta, but the work becomes more than physical conditioning. Their old tension turns into routine, discipline, desire, and eventually real emotional honesty.
Nesta resists him because she hates being vulnerable and believes she ruins everything she touches. Cassian keeps showing up anyway, even when she lashes out.
Gwyn, Emerie, and the Valkyrie rebirth
In the library, Nesta meets Gwyn, a priestess with her own trauma. She also reconnects with Emerie, an Illyrian shopkeeper who understands the cruelty of Illyrian gender expectations.
The three women begin training together and revive Valkyrie techniques. Their friendship becomes one of the book's strongest healing arcs: Nesta does not recover by being softened into someone else, but by finding women who fight beside her.
The Dread Trove and Briallyn
The external plot centers on the Dread Trove, a set of Made magical objects tied to death and enormous power. Because Nesta was Made by the Cauldron and stole from it, she can locate and interact with the Trove in ways others cannot.
Queen Briallyn, empowered and manipulated by Koschei, wants the Trove. Nesta's power makes her both weapon and target.
Nesta and Cassian accept the bond
Nesta and Cassian's physical relationship grows intense before either of them can fully handle the emotional truth underneath it. Their mating bond becomes undeniable, but Nesta's self-loathing makes acceptance painful rather than simple.
When Nesta finally begins to accept love, it is not because her pain vanishes. It is because she starts choosing connection over punishment.
The Blood Rite
Gwyn, Emerie, and Nesta are kidnapped and thrown into the Blood Rite, the brutal Illyrian trial normally reserved for warriors. They are forced to survive without ordinary help, and the Rite becomes the proof of everything they trained for.
The women refuse to abandon each other. Emerie and Gwyn survive with Nesta's help, and Nesta reaches the summit, becoming part of a legendary Valkyrie achievement.
Feyre's pregnancy turns deadly
Feyre is pregnant with a baby who has Illyrian wings, and the birth may kill her because her body is not prepared for it. Rhysand and the healers keep parts of the danger from Feyre, which creates a major emotional rupture when Nesta reveals the truth in anger.
By the end, Feyre, Rhysand, and the baby are all dying during childbirth. Nesta uses her power to save them, giving back much of what she took from the Cauldron.
Nesta chooses life
Nesta saves Feyre, Rhysand, and Nyx, and the Cauldron leaves her with some power rather than taking all of it. She and Feyre reconcile more fully, and Nesta finally allows herself to belong.
The book ends with Nesta, Cassian, Gwyn, and Emerie changed by what they survived, while Koschei remains an unresolved future threat.
Where everyone ends up
Nesta Archeron
Trains, confronts her trauma, forms the Valkyries, accepts Cassian, and saves Feyre's family.
Cassian
Becomes Nesta's trainer, lover, mate, and steady witness through her recovery.
Gwyn
Finds courage through training and friendship, then survives the Blood Rite.
Emerie
Defies Illyrian limits and becomes part of the Valkyrie core.
Feyre Archeron
Nearly dies giving birth to Nyx before Nesta saves her.
Rhysand
Faces the pregnancy crisis and survives because of Nesta's sacrifice.
Briallyn
Uses the Trove and Blood Rite scheme but is defeated.
Nyx
Feyre and Rhysand's son, born after Nesta changes the outcome.
