Crowns of Nyaxia Reading Order
Crowns of Nyaxia is organized around duology arcs inside a larger vampire-and-gods world. Read the main novels in publication order, but do not ignore Six Scorched Roses if you want the richer world path.
Last checked: August 19, 2026.
Quick answer
Start with The Serpent and the Wings of Night, then read Six Scorched Roses, The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King, and continue into the Shadowborn arc with The Songbird and the Heart of Stone and later books.
Before you start
This is not a one-couple trilogy. Think of Crowns of Nyaxia as a larger vampire world built from connected arcs. The first two main novels resolve the Nightborn arc, while the novella and later books widen the mythology, gods, and political consequences.
Why this order helps
The order keeps the emotional arc of the first duet intact while still making room for the novella that deepens the world. It also helps readers understand when the series changes focus from one duology arc to the next.

Best path by reader type
| Reader type | Best path | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First-time reader | Publication order with the novella | This preserves the Nightborn arc while giving the world more emotional context. |
| Novella-wary reader | Do not skip Six Scorched Roses permanently | It is short but meaningful for the wider series texture. |
| Spoiler catch-up reader | Use recaps after finishing | The first three Nyaxia pages have full-spoiler refreshers. |
| Completionist | Track duology arcs | The core series is planned around multiple duologies rather than one couple only. |
