If you love romantasy — that perfect mix of sweeping love stories, magic, danger, and slow-burn longing — then you need to try story-based mobile games like Choices, Romance Club, League of Dreamers, and Seven Hearts Stories.
Yes, I know — they’re technically “games.” But hear me out. These are interactive romantasy novels that you actually get to live inside. You’re not just reading about the heroine torn between a charming fae prince and a brooding demon general — you are her. You make her choices, shape the story, and yes… sometimes pick out her gown for the masquerade or her battle armor for the final showdown.
I’ve been playing these games for almost six years now, and honestly, they’ve given me some of the most emotional, beautifully written stories I’ve ever experienced — right up there with my favorite books.
Why Romantasy Readers Fall in Love with These Games
Romantasy readers crave immersion — that feeling of stepping into another world where love and danger blur, and every heartbeat feels like part of a bigger story. That’s exactly what these mobile story games deliver. They’re not just “games,” they’re interactive romantasy novels where you shape the story, make the choices, and fall in love along the way.

Choices (by Pixelberry Studios) | 7/10 | Updates Every Week | ⬇️ Google Play | ⬇️ App Store
Choices is one of the most established story apps out there, and for good reason. It’s built like an anthology of visual-novel “books”, each one released in chapters. You can jump between genres — fantasy, mystery, sci-fi, royal drama — and completely customize your character, from looks to outfits to personality.
For romantasy lovers, it’s a dream playground. Stories like Endless Summer, The Crown and the Flame, and The Cursed Heart are full of magic, moral dilemmas, and swoon-worthy slow burns. Because every “book” is self-contained, you can hop straight into a fantasy world without having to play through anything else first. However, in Choices, your decisions very rarely actually shape how the story ends (ironic, no?).

Romance Club | (⭐Best Overall) 10/10 | Updates Every Month | ⬇️ Google Play | ⬇️ App Store
Romance Club goes deeper emotionally — it’s all about character relationships and long-term storytelling. The “books” feel serialized, with slow character development, callbacks to past choices, and music that perfectly matches the mood. Players often say RC’s art, soundtrack, and emotional writing are “top tier,” and I completely agree.
What I love most is that Romance Club treats romance as the core of the story, not a side plot. Series like Heaven’s Secret, Dracula: A Love Story, Heart of Trespia, Legend of the Willow, and Arcanum pull you in with fate, friendship, and the weight of impossible choices. The app also runs community events like Diamond Rush and Tea Party, so you can earn gems without paying — which is a nice bonus if you’re a completionist like me.

League of Dreamers | 5/10 | Updates Every Month – English Translations Take Long… | ⬇️ Google Play | ⬇️ App Store
League of Dreamers has probably the most stunning visuals. The platform‘s stories easily blends romance, horror, mystery, and fantasy into beautifully illustrated, branching stories. You can customize your heroine, make meaningful choices, and lose yourself in other worlds like Seal of Nostradamus and In Darkness, Embrace. These stories feel lush, gothic, and magical, full of those dangerously charming love interests that every romantasy reader secretly adores. However, the story translations into English are not very good, and the app does not offer any free-to-play events like the others. It’s pretty easy to save up on emeralds, though!

Seven Hearts Stories | 6/10 | Updates Every Month | ⬇️ Google Play | ⬇️ App Store
Seven Hearts Stories has quickly become one of the fastest-growing story platforms. It’s known for its unique art style and very rich storytelling. Each title — from Deadly Biome to The Villain’s Last Wish — feels like a high-stakes novel where fantasy meets sci-fi and every decision carries weight. You need skills to actually survive! It’s perfect for anyone who loves complex characters and plots that keep you guessing until the very end. The app offers a free-to-play event sometimes, but unfortunately, the choices “purchased” during are not saved afterwards – so there’s no value in replays if you want to try other paths or choices… The art style is also not my cup of tea, always, the characters feel a bit too cartoonish, but it’s simply an aesthetic preference, and it doesn’t take away from the player’s experience.

Another World’s Stories | 4/10 | Updates Irreguraly | ⬇️ Google Play | ⬇️ App Store
Another World’s Stories focuses on heart-driven storytelling with a more literary feel. Each episode is filled with emotion, moral choices, and gorgeous visuals — the kind that make you feel like you’re inside a romantasy novel rather than just playing one. Titles like My Name Is Hope stand out for their depth and sincerity, exploring love, sacrifice, and identity. The app also runs limited-time events that bring in new readers and keep stories fresh and evolving.
And recently, I’ve fallen a little in love with Love and Deepspace. It’s a bit different, almost like being on an animated date with your favorite book boyfriend — but it’s incredibly fun.

Love and Deepspace | 7/10 | Main Story Updates Rarely, New Events Every Week | ⬇️ Google Play | ⬇️ App Store
Now, Love and Deepspace is something else entirely — in the best way. It’s the first fully 3D game, and it feels incredibly immersive. You play as a Deepspace Hunter with special powers (called “Evol”) fighting cosmic creatures known as Wanderers, sometimes alongside your chosen love interest.
What sets it apart is how it merges romance with action — you’ll move through visual-novel scenes, animated cutscenes, and even combat missions. It’s a romantic sci-fi fantasy that still hits all the emotional beats we love. You can also customize your character’s voice and look, and yes — there’s even a surprisingly thoughtful period tracker feature integrated into the game (a detail I never expected but actually love).

And just saying — Sylus completely owns my heart, though the others definitely make it difficult to stay loyal.
Every one of these games offers the tropes we adore — fated mates, forbidden love, enemies-to-lovers, redemption arcs, secret identities — but with one incredible difference: you decide how it all unfolds.
So if you’ve ever wanted to live your favorite romantasy instead of just reading it, this is your chance. 💎✨

The Joy of Choice
Every scene gives you options: do you trust the dark prince or defy him? Do you confess your love, or protect your heart? The choices you make change how the story unfolds, who falls for you, and even who lives or dies.
It’s thrilling, a little stressful, and completely addictive. There’s nothing like realizing a single decision from Chapter 3 just changed everything in Chapter 10.
About Those Diamond (or Gem) Choices 💎
You’ll quickly notice that some of the best scenes — kisses, secret missions, stunning dresses — cost diamonds or gems. Don’t worry, though. You don’t need to pay to enjoy the game!
Here’s how to collect gems 💎 in these games smartly:
- Log in daily — you’ll get free diamonds just for opening the app.
- You actually earn gems just by playing. Each episode gives you a few for free.
- When I install a new app, I first prefer to log in daily for about one month or quickly click through some stories that don’t seem very interesting. This way, I can easily accumulate gems before starting a story that I really want to read.
- Wait for free-to-play events. Many apps offer free-to-play events, and it’s worth waiting for them! You can follow the app on social media or Reddit to know when the events are coming. Also, prepare! A common choice is to buy tea or keys to unlock chapters during these events – they are cheaper and make more financial sense with expensive stories.
- Replaying older chapters (often) gives you a small number of diamonds/gems per chapter. It adds up!
- Save your diamonds for special romantic scenes or choices that change your relationship paths.
- Use walkthroughs to know which choices are important! Spend gems only on the choices that change the story outcome.
- Watch the ads between episodes — it’s an easy way to collect extras.
- Don’t waste gems on outfits unless they unlock unique dialogue or scenes (sometimes a free one looks even better).
Basically: be strategic. Save your gems for moments that matter — confessions, kisses, big plot twists — not just fashion choices (unless it’s that perfect enchanted ball gown, then go for it).
How to Get the Most Immersive Experience
If you want these games to hit like a full romantasy novel:
- Play with headphones. The background music and ambient sounds are incredible — from stormy forests to whispering temples.
- Play in the evening. It’s honestly like reading before bed, but you’re part of the story.
- Choose your main character’s look and name to feel even more connected. I love naming mine after my favorite book heroines.
- Don’t rush. These games are built for emotional pacing — let the story breathe, re-read key scenes, and enjoy the build-up.
What do you think?
Romantasy is all about feeling — falling into impossible worlds, meeting unforgettable characters, and letting your heart ache a little in the best way. These games give you that same magic, but make it personal.
So if you’ve ever wished you could step into the pages of ACOTAR, Zodiac Academy, or From Blood and Ash… download Romance Club or Choices tonight. I promise you’ll lose yourself in them — and maybe find your next fictional soulmate.
